Wealth is a seemingly impossible thing to acquire in the Unterzee, but once you explore you will find more than enough opportunities to make you rich. You are here because want the ambition of wealth, which requires 10k echoes for the Zeeside Mansion. Here is a quick guide on some of the money schemes you can attempt.

Starting Tips[ | ]

You need to save money however you can in order to get ahead. Below are some basic tips during your travels that can save you some echoes:

  1. ALWAYS gather port reports. In addition to free money, the Admiralty offers 1 fuel for each report, allowing you to save money on refueling in London.
  2. Use a half a crew. Your ship can go full speed with only half the max occupancy in Zailors. Zailors can only be lost when you take damage when below half hull, at high terror, and for certain events -typically in ports. If you're pursuing events in new ports, try to keep 2-3 extra Zailors aboard so if some are lost you're not stuck moving at a snail's pace. There is no benefit to having more Zailors onboard, beyond insurance against falling to half speed. Additional Zailors also deplete your supplies faster.
  3. Travel in as straight a route as possible to each port with your light on, trying to avoid fog and pass near the light buoys and land masses. This will save time, fuel, and reduce terror gain.
  4. Don't purchase terror reduction in each port. Some ports reduce very little terror for a very high price, such as Whither, where you pay 50 echoes for a measly 5 terror lost.
  5. Don't attempt to fight creatures with your starting ship. Repairs can be expensive early game and most creatures that you can kill don't offer significant rewards for doing so.
  6. Do fight pirate ships with 100 or less health. If you stay roughly behind the ship, carefully managing your speed to do so, it will not be able to fire back at you. Pirate ships -particularly Frigates- sometimes give supplies and fuel on defeat. All ships give a cache of goods which can have a variety of trade goods. Or additional supplies and fuel.
  7. Forward guns are not able to be mounted until you upgrade your ship. Do not spend echoes on these until you have a ship with a forward mount.
  8. Once you upgrade your deck gun, keep an eye out for the Alcaeus-class Corvette. While significantly faster and tougher than normal pirate ships, defeat you can rescue the captain for 400 echoes and a cask of wine. This is not a one time event and thereafter you can have a officer rescue her to receive between 100-500 echoes plus some supplies and fuel.
  9. Learn where the cheap places to refuel and resupply are in your Zee. Between each captain and game, the Zee's islands will change locations but the prices in a port's shop remain the same. See Fuel and Supplies pages to learn which ports have favorable prices. Certain shops are only accessible by doing a certain action on that port's page, gaining a certain item, or completing a certain quest. You do not need to enter ports to access their shops. Ports in the west and south never change locations, and ports along the north are always in that icy region but may be closer or further from London each captain (see Map for more details).
  10. Engine power increases fuel consumption, but the increased speed means less terror gained and less supplies consumed between ports. Ultimately it is worth it to increase engine power, as fuel can be bought for FAR cheaper than supplies. Seek out Polythreme and purchase WE ARE CLAY. In addition to lowering the maximum capacity of your ship (meaning even less Zailors needed) it increases your engine power and gives a small boost to irons.
  11. The Zubmariner DLC adds many ports and shops that offer new trade options and access to cheaper fuel and supplies. It is highly recommended to purchase the DLC to aid in making echoes.
  12. Once you have a Zubmarine, it is highly recommended to travel long stretches between islands underwater. Supplies, fuel, curiosities, and occasionally Captivating Treasures (worth 1000 echoes) can be gained from underwater wrecks and remains.

Basic Zee Moneymaking Getting Money from the Admiral[ | ]

Ok, so you have started your grand adventure! Not much in the way of money, but we can make it work. To start, just start going to Admiral and start the Strategic Information mission. Sail to a port, collect the info, and head on back for those sweet, sweet 150 echoes. Well...that's not that much, but let's make it work. Instead of just giving him the information, we can increase our profit a bit.

Collect the information, go back to London and turn in your port reports but not your Strategic Information. Then, take the next mission for Strategic information. Once you have 2, open your Gazetteer, go to Hold, look for the green-outlined Strategic Information, and hit use. You can then combine it with Tales from Distant Shores, Moves in the Great Game, or a Zee Story to make Vital Information. This can be given to him for 350 echoes and even open your opportunities with a special Diplomat who will offer even more cash, a whopping 500-600 echoes (be a wee bit careful about giving her too much)

Combine these with port reports and you get some pretty decent cash. This can also open up the chance for Spy Networks, but this requires some high level Veils to pull off. Spies are an investment, but become decent income if you wish to pull it off. This is some good starting cash, but this isn't enough for the ambition, we need some big investment!

Hauling Stones, Sadness, and Scrap[ | ]

Part of being a Zee Captain is moving move things from one place to another. While people generally pay a fair rate, hauling certain special goods can bring you some money. Thankfully there are some options that are available to increase income early on, or just as a chore when you're returning to London.

Stones[ | ]

Once you have 200 echoes, head east of London with 20 free spaces in your hold. Find the Salt Lions if you haven't already and agree to run Sphinxstone to London. If you're very lucky, the Salt Lions will be 1 tile east, but if not it can be up to 2 tiles east and a 1 tile north or south of London. Return the Sphinxstone for London for 500 echoes. Be advised that the quality associated with it will increase by between 1 and 5. This means you can make as many as ten deliveries (if you're VERY lucky) or as few as two before the final event occurs. The final event grants more echoes than previous events, and each option pays the same amount of echoes with a different associated stat increase. Be aware that certain... elements can have unintended consequences later.

Sadness[ | ]

In Polythreme you can agree to transport Clay Men to London if you have 6 spare spaces in your hold at any point during the game. This gives you 120 echoes for the trouble and is a great way to make money on a return to London when you couldn't secure anything else. If Polythreme is near the North, and you have the Zubmariner DLC, you can also make a relatively short trip to Anthe once you've gained Sharpness of the Bone and Spleen, where you receive 120 Echoes alongside Sooth & Cooper Long-Box, which can be sold at Station III for an additional 100 echoes or an item which can be sold at the shop in Rosegate for 120 echoes.

Scrap (Zubmariner DLC)[ | ]

Locate the Chelonate after acquiring a Zubmarine, somewhere in the Pillared Sea on the easternmost parts of the map. Speak to the Redolent Flesh-merchant and agree to be his supplier. Leave port and submerge slightly north, then dock in the rotting heart - Gant Pole. Inside, you can elect to gather meat for your new business partner. Each time you do this nets you 200 echoes. Quick and easy money.

Note: You may wish to surface just outside the Gant Pole if you pursue this, as the Unterzee beneath the Chelonate often spawns Thalattes, who posses both high hitpoints and have a powerful ranged attack.

Extraordinary Implication - Extraordinary Profit[ | ]

Don't bother selling your Zee stories, Memories of Distant Shores, Tales of Terror, or Visions of the Surface unless you are absolutely broke. These are far more useful either spent at certain events or combined with Strategic Information. Instead, in the early game, you should seek out ways to gain Extraordinary Implications and sell them to the Alarming Scholar for 250 Echoes or hoarded until Roser's Wharf wants one for 375 echoes. Later, you'll have other options (see below) to make echoes and are better off saving your Extraordinary Implications for late game resources.

One easy to gain an Extraordinary Implication is to dine with Cynthia at Hunter's Keep, to gain the attention of Salt. After travel to the Salt Lions with a Something Awaits You to perform a rite which earns you this.

Another possible way is to travel to Grand Geode far to the south of London with a Something Awaits You and ask to speak to someone in charge. Occasionally you'll get an Extraordinary Implication at the cost of a crew member and a large amount of terror.

In the Frozen North, the Chapel of Lights can grant you one if you offer salt for their feasts. Thankfully, salt in the form of 3 Ambiguous Eoliths, which can be bought at Mt. Palmerstone for 35 echoes a piece or Anthe for 30 once you have a Zubmarine. Both are located nearby along the Frozen North.

A Soggy Sommelier[ | ]

So you've got some basic work done. Now you want to start exploring the Zee and haul product while you do so to make some echoes. Well, lucky for you Mushroom Wine is popular in many regions.

Early Game[ | ]

In London, stock up on Mushroom Wine and then head south, collecting port reports as you travel down the coast. Refill on fuel at the Iron Republic, as this is the cheapest price in the base game, and continue south till you reach the port at Grand Geode. Head immediately east to Port Carnelian and sell your Mushroom Wine for a slight profit. Use the funds from this to purchase Sacks of Darkdrop Coffee Beans (higher profit margin per unit than Sapphires) and head due north. Gather the port reports of the areas there to maximize your profits and fuel upon return to London.

You can also sell it for the same rate in Venderblight, but you will not have any product to bring on return to London. Still if you're heading north, no shame in making a profit.

Drunken Pirates[ | ]

Godfall is, for a time, the most profitable trading partner for Mushroom wine, buying it for 25 echoes per bottle. Ideally, they are three tiles directly east from London, but this is often not the case. In addition, this method requires some investment because the priest there only buy Mushroom Wine in batches of 5. Once you empty your hold, you can visit Port Cecil and Polythreme nearby; the former of allows you to spend your Something Awaits You to find the valuable Scintillack, and the latter to haul Clay Men to London.

After Time: The Healer reaches 200, Godfall only purchases it for 100 echoes a piece which is a net loss. Time: The Healer only increases when you dock in London while you have a Something Awaits You (the little gold bell at the bottom left). You can extend the amount of trades with Godfall by only docking in London when you do not have a Something Awaits You.

Coffee Where the Sun Don't Shine[ | ]

Darkdrop Coffee is a specialty of the ports on the southern continents. You can learn about its... ahem... unique harvesting method in Adam's Way, but thankfully most of the Neath is not too caught up on the particulars.

Quick Caffeine Run (Zubmariner DLC)[ | ]

One possible location for the Fathomking's Hold is due north of Adam's Way, which sells it for 38 echoes a piece. A little south of the Fathomking's hold is Aigul, whose inhabitants have a great need for coffee and purchase it for 44 echoes, the same price as London. Should you be lucky enough to have these two locations nearby, you can make a quick and hefty profit just running coffee between the two locations, as both have relatively cheap fuels and supplies. Naturally, ships with bigger cargo space are better and less tedious.

Unter-the-Sheets (Zubmariner DLC)[ | ]

Irem is always in the north easternmost tile of the map. There, they accept 1 Sack of Darkdrop Coffee for 1 Bale of Parabola Linen. Gather some Dark Drop Coffee at either Adam's Way in the middle south of the map for 38 echoes, or Khan's Heart -wherever in the middle of the map it may be- for 40 echoes. Khan's Heart may end up being more profitable in Fuel Costs if it is close to the Northeast. Trade it in Irem and then go looking for Dahut, located underzee between Polythreme and Godfall. Trade your Parabola Linen there for 66 echoes, netting you between 28 and 26 echoes per unit.

Disregard Authority, Acquire Currency[ | ]

Isn't this nice, you are making some nice, honest money, but honesty is for nerds and you are making pennies compared to other Zee Captains. Lets do some... less than honest work to boost income.

Smuggling for the Cheery Man[ | ]

Now I am sure after a few runs you have met a certain one-eyed and cheery SOB who asks you to do some smuggling. While he may be annoying, keep him on your good side for reasons I'll get into later. He almost always asks you to go to either Gaider's Mourn, Khan's Heart, or Polythreme to smuggle souls. This can be annoying, as he always asks randomly, but you should be able to incorporate this into your search for new ports and adventure. Getting the goods are easy enough, getting them in is the hard part. By now you should have collected a bit of Admiral's Favors and can use a few of these to get passed the Customs. Stealthy captains might be able to sneak by them as well and have no problems getting the goods to the Cheery Man. This will net you 200 echoes, plus some fuel and supplies. A word of caution, don't come back to London without the stuff, and by the Zee gods don't lose it if you get them. Also remember that he gives you 1000 echoes to buy the goods, be wary of spending that cash.

Red Honey, we Getting Illegal Now![ | ]

The Isle of Cats is a expensive port, but its story line provides some very good smuggling opportunities. By getting favor with the Pirate King, which requires some errand work, use of a prostitute, and a casual Kidnapping (I didn't say this would be clean work), you will eventually get a key to a special garden. You can now buy a Firkin of Red Honey if you have a Something Awaits You! This item can be purchased for 625 echoes and sells for 900-1000 echoes at Fallen London. If you have unlocked the Brass Embassy in London by following the Mt. Palmerstone questline, you can sell it to devils for 999 echoes.

Like the Cheery Man, what you are doing is illegal, and Customs will take the goods if you get caught. You can use Admiral's Favors, Antiquarian levels, or stealth to get it by. Alternatively, you can just dock in London when you don't have a Something Awaits You which means your ship won't be searched.

THE SUN!!! THE SUN!!! THE SUN!!![ | ]

Ok now you are gonna get to the REALLY dangerous method, selling sunlight. Now before you go on and do this be advised, this is a risky and temporary method. If you overdo this, YOU WILL DIE. Do you hear me? YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING YOU WORKED FOR AND BE SAD!!! Are we clear? Good. Now your gonna need a few things...

1. Mirrorcatch boxes, lots of them. You can buy them at Khan's Shadow for 250 echoes a piece. I know, you cheapskate, it's pricey but please bear with me. It's worth it.

2. Have good relations with the Cheery Man (this is where it becomes worth the random trips) or know the location of the Isle of Cats.

3. Have the guts to sail up to the surface. You will need at least 20 or so fuel and some supplies.

4. You also would like to have no prior wounds, for reasons I'll get into later.

Alright so take your empty boxes and take them to the Surface (via the canal). Right off the bat you might lose a crew or two, don't worry, they are expendable. Spam click the collect sunlight button and fill your boxes with sweet, warm light. Now each time you do this a modifier will rise. You will begin to notice the messages getting worse and worse, you are slowly becoming addicted to sunlight. After filling these boxes up head back down and now you have 2 options.

A. Sell the boxes to the Cheery Man in Fallen London. You may have to dodge the Customs, or worse, get sent on another damn smuggling mission. But he will buy each full box for 400 echoes, and even return the empty boxes! He really is a nice, albeit dangerous, employer!

B. Head off to the Isle of Cats to sell the light. Depending on your Veils, you may lose a box to dishonest people, but get 500 echoes and not have to go on any stupid errands. This is a good option for stealthy players, but it's slower and the loss of a box will cut into profits.

Now this seems perfect, and it was before a patch. Now, if you reach a certain amount of Menaces: Yearning, Burning, crew will open the box and die. Reach around 175 and you yourself will lose self control and open boxes at the cost of wounds. hit 190 and well...you just go mad and open boxes constantly. If you let this happen 3 times YOU WILL DIE. If the worst occurs throw all full boxes away. You can reduce this addiction by resting, but only by a bit and its costs aren't worth it. This is a short, but insanely lucrative route that will flood you with dirty money (12 full boxes to the cheery man is a whopping 4800 echo profit!) You can fill about 30 or so boxes safely before becoming a raging sunlight addict. You can sell any leftover boxes for 200 echoes back at Khan's Shadow (or save them for other adventures as you find them).

Note that the Cladery Heir can amputate your Menaces: Yearning, Burning, but only once. With this, you can get more than 50 boxes of sunlight safely which can give you a lot of Echo.

Honest Surface Work[ | ]

You're too good for dishonest work? OK, I understand... Well I got another method that is pretty decent method, a trade run to the surface. Now we are gonna need a few things...

  1. Ship with a good cargo, by now you should have enough echoes to afford a ship with a large cargo carrier or frigate.
  2. 21+ fuel and around 8-10 supplies.
  3. Cash to buy 20-59 coffee crates.

Ok so we got a few possible routes for this one. You can buy coffee straight from Fallen London for 50 echoes, I recommend this as it is close to the surface and fast. If you want to invest 25 sacks of coffee for a licence, Khan's Heart sells coffee for a bit less. You now head up to the surface, head to Naples, and catch the next train to Vienna. You can then invest a bit of coffee to start a deal with a local shop to trade coffee for 80 Echoes, a 30 echo profit! Now you might be wondering why I said 59 coffee sacks are the max, well lets just say the owner of our little shop is a bit depressed. If you give him too much coffee you ruin the deal by stressing him out enough to burn his damn shop down. Since apparently he is the only coffee shop who wants the fine brand of the Zee, you lose out. Don't get greedy, 59 sacks still nets you over 1000 echoes a run. If you want to cut costs on supplies and Fuel Naples has the cheapest supplies in the game, with only 5 echoes per crate. Get your fuel either at London or the Iron Republic. This is a slower, yet safe method. The only risk is the occasional loss of crew members.

(A more roundabout way to cheap coffee is through buying Casks of Mushroom Wine in London, at 21 echoes each, then trading with Monkeys in A Civilised Exchange of Gifts in the Empire of Hands before the Zeppelin is completed, which comes out to a 59 echo profit. Closer to home, Carnelian sells Darkdrop Coffee in its store for 38 echoes.)

Triangle Trade: Turning Wine to Silk[ | ]

Trade was given little forethought in the base game. There are 1 or 2 routes, but this one specific method is both profitable and decent when you have a big ship. This route has a few requirements. Most of these can be done all at once if you want to risk it.

  1. Know where Empire of Hands and Irem are. Irem is always in the top right. Empire of Hands can move around, but it is always in the further east tiles of the map.
  2. Explore Empire of Hands, and make sure that Delightful Archaeologist gets to her site (her story is for another page, just get access to the Court of the Monkey Emperor)
  3. I would strongly recommend a large ship, at least hull space to carry 30+ goods plus some fuel and supplies to cross the Zee. I recommend the Cargo Ship with its 120 cargo and lighter crew requirements.

Start at Fallen London. Go to the shops and buy Mushroom Wine (about 21 echoes), as much as you can without sacrificing the proper fuel and supplies needed (can very based on your engine, crew, and modifications to the map that randomly generates). Now you need to sail to the Empire of Hands, pick up any port reports you can to balance out some the fuel costs. Head on over to the Court and go to the trader section. You can now trade your Wine for Coffee (40 echoes)! Be advised, you can only trade it one at a time so it will take time. But if you want cash, take it like a man and fill your cargo! Now head north, you should run into Irem. At Irem's Shop you have the opportunity to trade all that sweet coffee for Parabola Silk (60 echoes). By this time you should be low on fuel/supplies. If your lucky Mt. Palmerson shouldn't be too far away so you can get cheap fuel and slightly pricey supplies. If not, Port Cecil shouldn't be too far, but the costs are more. Sail back to London and sell your silk. You just turned 20 echo wine into 60 echo silk! 40 net profit per cask of wine, plus the port report awards, will net 1000-3000 echoes, depending on how much you loaded up with. This is a tedious, but efficient, route to quickly build your supply up.

A Wakeful Salesman[ | ]

After Another Day: Time, the Healer reaches a value of 50, you can convert 1 Hunting-Trophy into 4 Watchful Curios in Khan's Heart, if you have Something Awaits You. Then, head to Polythreme to convert them into Wakeful Idol, which can be sold in London to the The Alarming Scholar for 100 echoes, with a high total profit per run of 400 echoes, needing only 4 cargo spaces. Trophies are relatively easy to acquire from hunting Monsters, and, depending on your map, this can supplement profits from transporting Clay Men and the Blind Bruiser's souls. This method is quite easy if you have spare Hunting-Trophies (Resulting in the highest possible sale of 400 echoes per trophy), but highly dependent on map layout.

The Unterzee Exchange[ | ]

This method requires the Zubmariner DLC and access to a Zubmarine. You will need to be roughly mid-game, with a ship with decent cargo space, a familiarity of the map of your zee, and a fair amount of echoes on hand to make this route profitable. Assuming you have 20 fuel and 20 supplies to help with the journey, you can fill a cargo ship with 80 units of Prisoner's Honey for 2000 echoes.

This route is partly dependent on RNG, as map generation can either cause all these ports to be near each other (and handsomely profitable) or a zee-crossing nightmare. But if the false-stars align, this route scales with you; getting more and more profitable the more questlines you complete and ports you're comfortable travelling to.

To the East[ | ]

Starting in London, you will need to purchase as many Firkins of Prisoner's Honey you can carry. You'll want travel to the Far East by heading to the Frozen North (for the cheap fuel at Mt. Palmerstone), or by skirting along the Elder Continent (for the cheap supplies at Port Carnelian and medium cost supplies at Adam's Way) depending on whether the Chelonate is in the north or south of your map. As always, collect port reports until you reach the Chelonate, then go slightly north and submerge to enter the Gant Pole. There, trade all your Prisoner's Honey for Carboys of Primordial Shrieks.

You can acquire cheap supplies (tied with Port Carnelian for second cheapest) at Gant Pole for your journey back home. If your echoes are low, you can begin the Gant Pole: A Trade In Flesh in the Chelonate story line to make some quick money. If you've already exhausted this option, the Carboys can be sold in the Chelonate for 37 echoes a piece, netting a decent profit of 12 echoes per unit.

Shrieks to Silence[ | ]

Your next location is the Sea of Lilies, which, if you're lucky, will be due west of the Chelonate. Otherwise it'll be somewhere around the upper middle of the map (see here, it can spawn in any of the red squares). Once you've found the Sea of Lilies or Wisdom, submerge and head to the north east lily pad to dock at Scrimshander. You do not need to enter the port to access the shops. Trade your Carboy of Primordial Shrieks for Mutersalt. Make sure to buy some of the relatively cheap fuel here if you're low, or wait for Mount Palmerstone which is 1 echo cheaper. If you so desire, once you've gained the Nephrite ring from Khan's Glory, Mutersalt can be sold at the License Exchanged in Khan's Heart for 56 echoes, netting a profit of 21 echoes per unit.

Salt to Scintillack[ | ]

Once you've loaded up on Mutersalt, head to the far north of the map, looking for Mount Palmerstone. Purchase some cheap fuel should you need it, then submerge and head south to dock in Anthe. There, sell your Mutersalt for Scintillack. Scintillack, in addition to being useful in many storylines, can be sold in London for 70 echoes, netting a profit of 45 echoes per unit from our initial investment in Prisoners Honey. In addition, it can be used to purchase many other valuable items:

Option 1 - Scintillack to Artefact[ | ]

One final option is to turn your Scintillack into Outlandish Artefact curiosities in the Temple of Mihir at Varchas. In addition to freeing up space in your hold (and thus having an unlimited capacity), these sell for 100 echoes in London or in Khan's Shadow, and net a profit of 75 echoes per unit. Be aware that this is a very slow process: only 4 Scintillack can be converted before the day in Varchas passes and you need to wait for another Something Awaits You to repeat the process.

7 Outlandish Artefacts can be combined with 7 secrets in Your Study to create a Monstrous Almanac, which -in addition to a Pages increase of 7 and being a somewhat useful auxiliary item- sells for 1000 echoes in Venderblight. Assuming you received your 7 artefacts via trading for Prisoner's Honey, your initial investment of 175 echoes returns a profit of 825 echoes.

Option 2 - Scintillack to Sapphires[ | ]

Normally the route ends once you've earned your Scintillack, but you can turn it into even more profit via some hard work. If you've made Wrack Prosperous by Wracking enough, you can buy Caskets of Sapphires there with your Scintillack. Sapphires can be sold for 90 echoes in London for a profit of 65 echoes per unit (assuming you started with Prisoner's Honey). The most directly profitable location, ironically, is back in the Far East. Uncles Ankle's Lean Place in the Chelonate buys them for 99 echoes, which increases the profit to 74 per unit.

Note: Getting Wrack to prosper can be time consuming. Its initial state is determined randomly, starting as low as 11 and as high as 13, and needing a 17 to become a profitable trading partner. Completing the Wracking objective in various ports sometimes decreases Wrack: State of the City because the "increase" formula is: 1-4 (rolled randomly) minus 2.

On the upside, once it is prospering, it has the cheapest supplies in the entire Zee and is tied for the cheapest fuel. Once the city is prosperous, you may wish to stop sending ships there unless you want to pursue other storylines related to it.

Sapphires to Success[ | ]

Dahut, located west of Polythreme accepts 11 Sapphires for 1 Captivating Treasure. This can be a suitable end step to this route, as Captivating Treasures do not take up space in the hold and can be sold for 1000 echoes in either Khan's Shadow or to The Alarming Scholar in Fallen London. If you cash out at this point, the 11 prisoner's honey -worth a combined value of 275 echoes- that are necessary to secure 11 Caskets of Sapphires have returned a profit of 725 echoes.

If you have the funds, you can hop right to this point by purchasing 11 Sapphires at Port Carnelian for 946 echoes then journeying to Nook. Once you have your treasure, you can go to either London or Khan's Shadow to sell your Captivating Treasure. This only returns around 54 echoes in profit however and should only be used one you're end game and looking to pass money onto your heir or complete other objectives. You can even fill your hold with Stygian Iron to sell at your destination for a very slim profit.

Sapphires to... Salt?[ | ]

As said before, this route scales with your own capabilities. You can make this process a complete circle by taking your Casket of Sapphires back to the far east in Hideaway, and selling them off for 2 Mutersalt. These can either be sold in Khans Heart (2 Mutersalt = 112 echoes) or taken around the Salt to Scintillack leg of this journey to earn even more Scintillack or Sapphires. Once Wrack is prosperous, theoretically, this route can be used to gain an infinite growing amount of Mutersalt, Scintillack, or Sapphires, at least until you can no longer fit the fuel and supplies necessary to take the route.

Money in the Bank[ | ]

Combine and adjust these methods to your liking. Follow these guidelines and plan carefully and many of these methods will net you thousands of echoes in a fairly short amount of time. Use the money to upgrade your ship, get fancy new weapons and lights, or use it to fund your adventures on the Zee.

These are by no means the only way to get cash. Quests often end with giving you anything from Outlandish Artifacts (100 echoes) to Captivating Treasures (1000 echoes). But no matter what, make sure fun comes before money, this isn't a trade game by any means. have patience and a cool head and retiring in a swanky mansion will be as easy as pie.
