Obtaining
A Casket of Sapphires can be obtained in the following ways:
- Killing a Tyrant Moth and choosing to seek treasures will reward you with one.
- Contributing Crate of Human Souls x2 to the Zepplin at the Empire of Hands will reward you with one.
- The cache in Treasure Valley in Fountainhead Island, also in the Empire of Hands contains 10 of these.
- Upon not finding Maybe's Daughter's Mother in Port Carnelian, she returns with 1 Casket of Sapphires.
Usage
Potential uses include:
- The Merchant Venturer may occasionally request 7 of these.
- The Brisk Campaigner needs one at a later stage in her story.
- 1 is needed among other Materials for the Impeller to construct the Fulgent Impeller in the Tireless Mechanic's storyline.
- Once you have some capital and a larger hold, earning a guaranteed 9 echoes per unit, shipping from Port Carnelian to Polythreme is a pretty good, never-ending source of income.
- Note that if Wrack: The State of the City is thriving, the store there will buy Scintillack for a Casket of Sapphires. In Hideaway, you can sell them for 2 x Mutersalt, each of which can be sold for one Scintillack in Anthe.
