Overview[ | ]
Choosing to support the Chief Engineer in A Choice will lead to this sequence of events, in which you assist the Rattus Faber in their fight against the Cavies. A History Lesson allows you to learn more about Pigmote Isle and its unique history.
Moving on, A Vital Enterprise provides options to assist in the upcoming fight. Offering Supplies is the safe option, and will grant you an extra point of Hearts. However, there are also some fairly tough (125) Veils or Iron challenges on offer. Failure will allow you try again, but will cost Terror, and potentially Crew and Hull. Both offer significant rewards on success, also unlock extra options in Outcomes ( Supplies alone will not offer the extra options).
Outcomes allows you to wrap up the story before heading back to Pigmote Isle where different port interactions will be available, depending on the choices you made here. If you don't try to steal the Rat Star, then you'll have The Republic Ascendant, which gives free resupply and repairs in the future. If even try to steal the Rat Star no matter the outcome, Unwelcome in the Republic Ascendant awaits you, which provides no interactions at all, effectively removing Pigmote Isle from the game.

"So you're going to help us beat the Cavies," he says, a hard edge to his voice. "But how exactly?"

A grudging concession. You appeal to the Chief Engineer's moral fortitude and sense of fair play. Perhaps the Cavies suffered the loss of the light from the centre of the island? Perhaps they were only trying to get it back, not steal it from the rats? The Chief Engineer looks troubled at the thought. "We only wanted to be left alone," he says. He looks towards the Seneschal, haphazardly bandaged among the rats' other prisoners. "...Perhaps further negotiation is possible." As you leave, you see the Albino rat timidly offering a young Cavy prisoner a piece of fresh fish.
