Detonate Unclear Device is a combat action available to ships with an Unclear Device on board. It sets the user's and enemy's Illumination to 0, and increases the user's Terror by 1-40. It consumes one Unclear Device.

The description also claims to increase the enemy's Terror slightly, but currently this action is only usable by players and no enemies have a Terror statistic.
