PAGENAME is a Sunless Sea Story Event. ==Trigger conditions== PAGENAME is triggered when you dock in Varchas and do the following:
Do Entertainment in Varchas action in The Centre of Varchas
==Story description== There are many available; Mihir is not a puritan god. The nicer establishments in the city are lit with expensive imported gas and have little blue-glowing scintillack statuettes scattered on the shelves. What takes your fancy? ==Interactions== {| class="ss-table" style="width:100%;" !style="width:10%;"|Actions !style="width:16%;"|Requirements !style="width:16%;"|Effects |- | rowspan="4"| Join the gaming-table They are playing on an ornate board, with pieces of mirrored-chips and snakes made of bone. | rowspan="4"|

Veils challenge (127 for 100%)

Varchas: The Knells of the Towers β€ 4

style="background: #002020;" align="center" |Failed event |- |You can't seem to grasp the Seven Basic Patterns of the mirror-pieces, and the other players can't seem to explain why you can't play the bone-snake in the supplementary round. You begin to suspect they are making up rules merely to cozen the Taamas.

-1 x Terror

+1 x Varchas: The Knells of the Towers

-5 x Terror

+1 x Memory of Distant Shores

+1 x Varchas: The Knells of the Towers

Pages challenge (84 for 100%)

Varchas: The Knells of the Towers β€ 4

style="background: #002020;" align="center" |Failed event |- |The priests' argument is theological in nature: they keep invoking texts you've never read, and cosmological concepts you've never bothered contemplating. It makes you desirous of an over-full cup of wine.

+1 x Varchas: The Knells of the Towers

+11 to +20 x Fragment

+1 x Varchas: The Knells of the Towers

Iron challenge (84 for 100%)

Varchas: The Knells of the Towers β€ 4

style="background: #002020;" align="center" |Failed event |- | Even an exhibition match requires some skill; you rake across your opponent's arm with your first slash, and the arbitrator calls off the match. Apparently it is very bad manners to draw blood. You hear someone mutter, "bloody Taamas" and "dark-touched", and make a strategic retreat.

+2 x Terror

+1 x Varchas: The Knells of the Towers

+6 to +15 x Fragment

+1 x Memory of Distant Shores

+1 x Varchas: The Knells of the Towers

Triggers event: The Centre of Varchas
